A Linear Acceleration Pickup,

Abstract

The accelerometer consists of an inert mass, resting on guiding supports, an elastic element (a spring) and a damper, consisting of a cylinder and a piston. In the proposed accelerometer the bottom of the cylinder and the piston are made of porous glass, in which the relationship between the rate of seepage of the process fluid and pressure is linear. This improves the dynamic properties of the instrument. (Author)
