On Certain Dependicies in the Synthesis of White-Zirconium Enamels with Increased Alkali Resistance,

Abstract

As a result of the systematically conducted research and numerous experiments, the basic questions and dependencies were elucidated related to the synthesizing of white titanium-zirconium enamesl with increased alkali resistance. A study was made on the role of zirconium silicate, the most suitable ratio of TiO2:ZrO2, the influence of ZnO, fluorides and phosphates on the white color and turbidity. Compositions were established for alkali-resistant white titanium enamels with very good physical-mechanical indexes.
