Abstract
This monograph gives a general classification of the various types of wear, including abrasive wear; it describes the principles and systems of laboratory tests for abrasive wear, the regularities of this form of wear under various conditions - during friction against attached abrasive particles, against a seam, against an abrasive mass, during wear of streams of abrasive particles, in gas and liquid flows, and during impact-abrasive wear. The book presents the data of tests by various methods for the wear of hard facings, and it determines the connection of abrasive wear resistance with the physical properties of materials. (Author)
