Documentation of Conditions Attendant to Army Tactical Mobility Requirements (Howze) Board Testing.

Abstract

Studies by the Army Tactical Mobility Requirement (Howze) Board are likely to lead to revised military concepts which, in turn, will require modification of engineer construction effort concepts. In order to establish the best possible datum from which extensions to new situations might be made, the Office, Chief of Engineers, asked for a team of engineers from the U. S. Army Engineer Waterways Experiment Station to document terrain, environment, and related conditions which were encountered in the tests conducted by elements of the Army Tactical Mobility Requirements Board. The memorandum which constitutes this miscellaneous paper is a report of the documenting team.
