Specific Heat of a Substance near the Critical Point of Heat and Gas,

Abstract

The presence of extremums for a constant volume, C(v), in the supercritical area is explained in a hypothesis on the nature of C(v) at the critical point. In the article, the author discusses the behavior of the heat capacity jump on the coexistence curve, and analyzes the behavior of C(P) in the supercritical area. All of these investigations enable him to determine the parameters of the equation of the substance's state near the critical point. (Author)
