The Spectrum of Reflection of the Chalcogenides of Antimony and Bismuth,

Abstract

A comparative experimental study of the reflection spectra made it possible to reveal the deep similarity of the compound zone structure inside each isomorphic group of crystals in question and the general features in the zone structure of both groups. It is also evident that during the calculation of the zone arrangement of compounds which include atoms of the bismuth type it is necessary to consider relativistic effects. Apart from this, it was possible to obtain some information about the nature of the minimum interzone interval in rhombic crystals and about the nature of states responsible for transitions in various areas of energies.
