Analysis of the Conditions of Operation of Gas Turbine Rotor Bearing from the Results of Computer Calculations of Their Thermal Regimes,

Abstract

In order to facilitate the practical application of methods of calculation of the thermal regime, and for speedy graphical analysis of the influence of basic parameters on the thermal regime, the authors conceived the idea of a large series of thermal calculations for bearings (a series of 4000) on the E.TS.V.M. 'Nairi'. The use of nomograms in the analysis of the effect of various parameters on the thermal regime of gas turbine rotor bearings can be helpful in the design of new bearing assemblies and oil systems for gas turbine engines.
