Notes on Spline Functions. I. The Limits of the Interpolating Periodic Spline Functions as Their Degree Tends to Infinity.

Abstract

Let (S sub n)(x) be the periodic spline of degree (2n-1) that interpolates a given set of k data within the period. The limit of (S sub n) (x) is determined as the data are kept fixed and the author lets n approach infinity. (Author)
