A Computer Oriented Analysis of Linear, Partially Linear and Qualitative Data.

Abstract

A computer oriented analysis of partially linear models and linear or partially linear models with variance - convariance matrix depending on the parameters is presented. The former case is analyzed using least squares and the latter using the maximum likelihood principle. In addition to this work, methods for the analysis of multidimentional contingency tables are presented. The main emphasis is on the log-linear model. The computer implementation is done with the help of the parallel tangents (partan) and steepest descent algorithms. (Author)
