Local Civil Defense Directors in Action: Their Opinions, Attitudes, Knowledge and Behavior.

Abstract

The report represents the results of an initial base data analysis utilizing data obtained from a national sample of local civil defense director/coordinators. Report content areas include: opinions concerning various aspects of the local coordinator's future involvement in civil defense programs, perceived problem areas which are seen as constraints on the effective operation of the local civil defense system, developments and accomplishments in various civil defense task areas including local contingency planning, local Emergency Operating Centers and Emergency Operations Simulations. Questions were also asked concerning the local coordinator's need for future training in specific work areas. (Author)
