Strength and Plasticity,

Abstract

Basic trends in contemporary theoretical and experimental work in the fields of strength were reviewed. Three-dimensional problems in the theory of elasticity for homogeneous, isotropic and anisotropic bodies; fundamental static and dynamic problems for nonhomogeneous bodies; static planar problems; fundamental contact problems; problems of stress concentrations; nonlinear theory and equilibrium stability theory of three-dimensional bodies; and applications of elasticity theory to structural design were considered.
