General procedures avoiding the use of chromium(II) intermediates are presented for the synthesis of two types of chromium(III) bis(phosphinate) polymers, (Cr(H2O)(OH)(OPRR'O)2)x and (Cr(OH)(OPRR'O2)x. (Author)
