Long-Distance Telemetry of Environmental Data for the North Pacific Study,

Abstract

Oceanographic and meteorologic data are being telemetered from Ocean Data Stations moored in the region 1,200 miles north of Hawaii, participating in the Scripps Institution of Oceanography North Pacific Study. The system which acquires and telemeters the data to La Jolla California, is described, and some analog plots of actual data are shown. Possible interpretations of these data are briefly discussed.
