A Procedure for the Semiautomatic Reduction of Interior Ballistic Data Recorded on Analog Tape.

Abstract

A procedure has been devised to process the interior ballistic information which is recorded on wide-band, frequency-modulated tape recorders at the Interior Ballistics Laboratory. These data, in analog form, are converted to digital form automatically by using a channel on the tape to control the analog-to-digital conversion. The digital data are then processed using a FORTRAN IV program that directs the computer to read the information in tabular and/or plotted form. This program is described in detail. (Author)
