Perfected Model of a Universal Spectrometer for Research on the Field of Short-Wave Emission in the Atmosphere,
Abstract
A description is given of a perfected model of a universal spectrometer intended for studying the field of short-wave emission in the atmosphere. In contrast to the previous model in which the brightness of sky is measured without allowance for polarization of the emission, and the fluxes of direct solar radiation are measured only from the center section of the solar disc, in the perfected model three new attachments have been introduced, one of which allows measurement of the brightness of the sky and the state of polarization of stray radiation, the second allows measurement of the brightness of the sky through a depolarizer, and the third allows measurement of the flows of direct solar radiation from the entire solar disc with a 2 degrees angle of view.
