Handbook of Mechanical Properties of Steels and Alloys during Plastic Deformation,

Abstract

The handbook gives data on changes in the mechanical properties of steels and alloys during plastic deformation. Empirical formulas are given for determining: the yield point, the critical point, relative elongation and hardness in relation to the degree of deformation of the steel and alloy in a cold state. Tables of actual resistances are given for deformation in a hot state relative to temperature, degree and rate of deformation. Indices of plasticity and deformability are considered. (Author)
