Use of the VVDU-2 High-Pressure Viscosimeter in Testing Natural Waters,

Abstract

A viscometer, design based on the rate of swing of a ball through the test medium, was calibrated for use with natural waters. An increase in temperature of 5 degrees changed the transit time of the ball by 15-20 percent. The instrument did not measure the effect of dissolved carbon dioxide on decreasing the viscosity of water. (Author)
