Insurance Stocking Policy for 'S' Cognizance Material,

Abstract

An analysis of the insurance stocking policy for 'S' cognizance material performed for NAVSEC (Naval Ship Engineering Center) is described. The purpose of this study is to develop a set of inventory rules to be used for establishing numerical stock levels for insurance type repairable items. A set of inventory rules especially designed for insurance type repairable items is evaluated using alternative risk computation techniques. Stockage tables are developed to reflect the desired NAVSEC stocking policy. (Author)
