Research on the Phenomenological and Molecular Aspect of the Mechanical Response of Elastomeric Material 1960-1971.

Abstract

The studies summarized in the report are the result of research concerned with the mechanical behavior of elastomeric materials in phenomenological and molecular terms, with special attention to polar rubbers, to non-ideal responses and to strain induced changes in state. The work was performed during the past 11 years. The report summarizes work on physico-chemical structure, experimental and theoretical high elasticity, rate effects, and continuum mechanics.
