Abstract
This is the final report for the development of a superconducting magnet system for magnetohydrodynamic power generation. The information is presented in two volumes. Volume I describes the magnet development effort from the initial parametric analyses through design and supporting experimentation to the preliminary testing of the magnet in a vertical 'bucket' type dewar.
