Shock Compressibility of Compacted and Porous NB (Ballistite) (Udarnaya Szhimaemost Porokha NB V Sploshonom I Poristom Sostoyanii),

Abstract

To accurately understand how solid explosive are transformed by a detonation wave, it is essential to estimate the heating of the solid explosives in the detonation wave front. This estimate can be made with data on the shock compressibility of compacted and porous explosives. By means of the latter data, the report confirms the possibility that solid explosives in the detonation wave are converted into focal thermal explosives. (Author)
