Influence of Intensive Heat Exchange on the Shifting of Liquid Metals in the Sectioning of Hardening Casts (Vliyanie Intensivnosti Teploobmena na Permeschenie Zhidkogo Metalla v Sechnii Zatverdevaiushchei Otlivki),

Abstract

The report concerns the influence of intensive heat exchange between the casting and the form on the character in the transfer of the liquid phase between the rising crystals. Defined here is the methodology of experimental dimension determination of intercrystalline capillaries for the various speeds of cast cooling. On the basis of the experimental data and the ensuing theory of filtration phenomenoa, the flow rate of the liquid metal is determined inasmuch as it concerns the cutting of casting. (Author)
