A Feasbility Study of Computer Assisted Instruction in US Army Basic Electronics Training.

Abstract

A study of computer assisted instruction (CAI) for US Army basic electronics training at the US Army Signal Center and School establishes the feasibility of CAI as a training technique. Three aspects of CAI are considered: effectiveness, efficiency and applicability of CAI to basic electronics training. The effectiveness of both learning achievement and time to complete the course materials is explored. A cost comparison between CAI and current conventional instruction is made. (Author)
