Low-Frequency Digital Phase Meter,

Abstract

Phase difference measurements of quickly occurring changes can be obtained by a circuit with a digital display. The sinusoidal voltages which are to be compared are first converted into square waves and their durations are filled with h.f. pulses from a crystal generator. The packets of pulses are assessed by a binary counter and the results are passed on to the arithmetical unit. Another input of the arithmetical unit is supplied with packets of pulses produced in a second branch by filling spaces of square waves by switches with h.f. pulses from a crystal generator. In a mixer half waves detected are combined before the application to the arithmetical unit. (Author)
