The Joint Operation of a Heavy-Current Electrodynamic Plasma Accelerator with a Source of Electric Power in the Form of Single-Phase Salient-Pole Magneto-Electric Generator,

Abstract

A study is made of the joint operation of a heavy-current plasma accelerator with a capacitance accumulator and energizer in the form of a single-phase salient-pole magneto-electric generator. The flow of plasma in the coaxial chamber depends on the moment of connection of the accelerator to the energy accumulator and the parameters of the discharging and charging circuits. With the connection of a capacitor with a capacitance of 150-200 mu F at n equals 1000-3000 rpm the capacitor can be charged in 0.001-0.002 s up to a voltage of 1-10 kV. (Author)
