Calculating the Coefficient of Coverage of Area of an Umbrella-Type Concentrator (Raschet Koeffitsienta Zapolneniya Ploshchadi Kontsentratora Zontichnogo Tipa),

Abstract

The factors which determine the energy characteristics (power, average concentration, distribution of energy on the focal point) of faceted solar energy concentrators are the linear dimensions of the concentrator, the angle of coverage, the shape, dimensions and arrangement of facets on the base of the reflector, the shape of the reflector, the accuracy of fabrication of separate concentrator elements and positioning of its facets, the accuracy of tracking of the sun, and, in addition, the coefficient of coverage of the reflector area by the facets.
