Physical, Chemical and Other Properties of Molecules and Crystals.

Abstract

Research is summarized which concerns experimental and theoretical studies of the intra- and intermolecular forces in simple molecules. Vibrational spectroscopy was used to probe the internal vibrations of molecules composed primarily of first row atoms in gaseous and condensed phases, and to observe the hindered rotations and translations that occur as external vibrations (lattice modes) when the molecules interact in the solid state.
