Muscoid-fly Octosporeosis.

Abstract

The objective of the project is to gather information on Octosporea muscaedomesticae (Protozoa: Microsporidia), the causative agent of an intestinal octosporeosis in muscoid flies. How this agent might be manipulated in the applied biological control of noxious muscoids is our ultimate goal. The experiments conducted are summarized.
