Conversion of a Two-Dimensional Magnetohydrodynamic Computer Code from CDC-6400 FORTRAN to IBM 360/67 FORTRAN.

Abstract

In a previous thesis a very general method for numerically solving two-dimensional, two-fluid magnetohydrodynamic equations was developed. A copy of the computer code was given to the Physics Department at the Naval Postgraduate School for conversion to the IBM 360/67 system presently in operation at the school. The paper is intended to be a users manual for this code. Numerous changes to the original code were required due to the inherent differences between the CDC and IBM machines. The conversion of this code as well as a complete understanding of its operation and logic was the goal in the preparation of the paper. (Author)
