Thermoelectric and Galvanomagnetic Properties of (Bi-Sb)(x)Pb(1-x) Alloys (Nekotorye Osobennosti Termoelecktrocheskikh i Galvanomagnitnykh Svoistv Splavov),

Abstract

The study of the phenomena of alloy transference with impurities of quadri- and hexa-valent elements is highly useful, since in this way it is possible to compensate fully or partially for any holes or electrons, which to some extent facilitates the interpretation of experimental data. Such an approach to the problem presented has paramount practical significance, in particular for improvement of the thermoelectric quality of these allows. Presented here are the results of investigation of galvanomagnetic and thermoelectric properties of monocrystalline alloys with lead content of up to 1.5 at %, in the main at the temperature of liquid nitrogen. The experiments were carried out on rectangular samples in which the second order axis or bisector axis are parallel to the main cleavage plane. (Author)
