Mathematical and Statistical Analysis for the Reduction of Ionospheric Data,

Abstract

The report describes the techniques and programs developed to analyze various problems involving ionospheric physics. The main task consisted of the reduction and analysis of a large number of ionograms taken at various stations during the same time period. Programs were developed to perform statistical analysis on the data and to construct continuous models of the ionosphere based on these experimental observations. In connection with the development of these models, programs were designed and written to trace electromagnetic rays through different ionospheric models. (Author)
