Determination of the Ignitability of Explosives by the Manometric Bomb Method (Opredelenie Vosplamenyaemosti vv s Pomoshchyu Manometricheskoi Bomby),

Abstract

Using a standard igniter substance at a standard distance from the test explosives, it is possible to determine the relative ignitability of various explosives. The effect of changes in explosives or additives can be shown clearly. The same method may also be used for comparing the igniting capacity of various mixtures for a standard explosive. Volume of the manometric bomb was found not to influence the experimentally determined relative ignitability. (Author)
