Polar Cap Bibliography with Abstracts. 2. Disturbance Phenomena in the Polar Cap,

Abstract

The report was compiled as Volume 2 in a series of bibliographies with abstracts on selected topics in the literature on upper atmospheric phenomena in the inner regions of the polar caps. In general, the references begin with those on activities during the International Geophysical Year and continue with articles published through the year 1971. References are grouped under sixteen subject headings that cover the geomagnetic field, electric field, upper atmospheric current systems, earth currents, magnetic storms, polar and auroral substorms, polar and auroral absorption, magnetosphere, hydromagnetic waves, micropulsations and other pulsations, traveling waves, nuclear-burst effects, and instrumentation and measurement systems for studying these phenomena.
