Protective Coatings for Solar Batteries (Zashchitnye Pokrytie dlya Solnechykh Fotogeneratorov),

Abstract

Polysiloxane silazane, alkyd acrylic, styrene acrylic, and polyester modified polysiloxane paints were all found incapable of sustaining the protection of a vacuum deposited sensitive layer on solar elements. Only inorganic glasses attached with a catalytic action rubber-like compound were capable of protecting these sensitive coatings. Sensitive layers formed by oxidation of silicone are satisfactorily protected by polyester modified polysiloxane, but are less efficient than the vacuum deposited layers. (Author, modified-PL)
