Failure Distribution Analyses Study. Volume Four. Reliability of Redundant Configurations.

Abstract

The report provides simplified procedures for determining the reliability of redundant configurations assuming an exponential or Weibull failure distribution and an exponential or lognormal repair distribution. The objective of the study were : (1) to develop reliability formulas for equipments in standby and operative redundancy, where equipment failure times follow an exponential or Weibull distribution and equipment repair times follow an exponential or lognormal distribution, and (2) to provide simplified procedures for evaluating these reliability formulas.
