A Pragmatic Approach to Multichannel Air Force Signal Analysis.

Abstract

A beat frequency detector algorithm has been generalized and tested for an arbitrary number of time slices and selective frequency bands. The signals tested revealed an extraneous sound source on one acoustic channel, multimodal distributions in seismic and acoustic frequencies and considerable deviations from a cardioid microphone characteristic. Weak multifeature clusters have been found for flight-modes. A method for separating oscillatory and modulatory spectra of complex mechanical systems is suggested in outline. An infrared window was defined and used for timewise centering. (Author)
