Bonding of Dissimilar Materials for Space Systems Applications.

Abstract

The bonding of dissimilar materials presents several unique problems, particularly for space systems that are required to operate at very low temperatures. Design considerations are discussed and typical applications are described, including techniques employed to resolve pertinent problems. Recommendations and needs are discussed that are considered necessary to preclude failures and difficulties of the types described. (Author-PL)
