Optimization of Control Systems with Uncertainties for Use in Aerospace Avionics.

Abstract

The research program is concerned with the development of concepts and methodology for the analysis and design of control systems and differential games containing parameters which are either subject to perturbation or introduced for computational simplifications. The report highlights the results which are fully documented in the articles, papers, and reports cited in the list of publications. The results are categorized into nine areas: Parameter-insensitive feedback structures; Optimal and near-optimum feedback control; Sensitivity function generation; distributed-parameter systems; Parameter imbedding methods; Singular perturbation theory; Discrete-time systems; Nonlinear filtering for systems with random models; Differential games and minimax algorithms.
