Magnetic Asymmetry and Variations of the General Magnetic Field of the Sun,

Abstract

The paper deals with a study of the influence of the resolving power of the magnetograph on the statistic results as the mean field strength, the average wavelength, and the number of magnetic elements of different polarites. The results of the study proved that at unchanged magnetic flux the mean field strength increases 1.3 to 1.4 times, the wavelength decreases 1.2 to 1.3 times when the resolving power of the instrument is increased from 27 to 1.5 arc sec. Twenty-four magnetographic records of northern and southern solar regions have been obtained, measured, and analyzed. (Author)
