Portion of Mg-Y-ZN Phase Diagram Rich in Magnesium (O Bogatom Magniihm Uchastke Diagrammy Sostoyaniya i),

Abstract

A study was made of the ternary diagram of magnesium-yttrium-zinc in the region rich in magnesium. All the alloys were analyzed to determine the yttrium, zinc, and magnesium content, in accordance with a procedure based on preliminary separation of the zinc. The ternary solid solution of the magnesium-yttrium-zinc system has a lower concentration than do binary solid solutions based on magnesium. (Author)
