Configuration Study.

Abstract

The report presents the results of effort expended in three study task areas applicable to synchronous orbiting satellites: fuel tank considerations at 0 g, spinup techniques and thruster-CG misalignment problems. During the course of study, material was gathered, assembled, and analyzed. Typical practical situations were investigated and are presented to indicate effects of various factors. The resulting guidelines should provide insight into the techniques which are available and the significant features of each so that the desirability of specific approaches may be evaluated.
