Reanalysis of the Neutron Spectrum Measurements in an Iron Bulk Assembly.

Abstract

A reanalysis has been made of neutron spectrum measurements in a 76.2-cm diameter iron sphere. Comparisons are made with a 296-group ANISN calculation using MAT 1101, and a 49-group 1DF calculation using the Westinghouse Evaluation, ENDF/B 1968. The integral agreement is resonable above 0.5 MeV, i.e., 10 to 25%; in the keV region the agreement is poorer for both calculations. (Author)
