Abstract
The paper consists of: (1) the investigation of the electric pinch; (2) development of methods for producing a cylindrically symmetric plasma completely free of spurious oscillations and instabilities; (3) use of such a plasma for investigations of various kinds of plasma waves; and (4) studies of the beam-plasma interaction of a thin electron stream injected along the axis of such a cylindrically symmetric plasma.
