The Possible Use of Materials Based on Fluoroplast-4 for the Packing of Drilling Pumps,

Abstract

Attempts are being made to solve the very rapid wear problem by using polymeric materials. This problem has been solved successfully by applying the method of mixing fluoroplast-4 (PTFE) with fillers at very low temperature. It is expected that these materials can be used as a basis for developing more modern materials for drilling operations than polyamide. (P.S.-PL)
