Infrared Scanning of Honeycomb Structures and Phenolic Surfaces for Bonding Defects.

Abstract

The objective of this investigation is to determine the ability of infrared scanning techniques to locate hidden defects in components constructed with honeycomb structures and phenolic surfaces. The preliminary results demonstrated that it is possible to determine certain bond defects utilizing the Barnes Model T6D color scanner system model 710 scanner. (Author, modified-PL)
