Theoretical Solar Terrestrial Plasma Physics.

Abstract

A nonlinear fluctuation - dissipation theorem relating quadratic plasma response functions to ternary equilibrium correlations has been derived. Large ampligude non-linear waves in a magnetized plasma with and without collisions have been studied. A computer code for the calculation of the synchrotron-Cherenkov radiation by high energy electrons is a cold plasma has been developed, and detailed numerical results have been obtained. A critical review of solar flare phenomena with a suggestion for the prevailing dynamical processes leading to the acceleration of particles to high energies has been prepared. (Author)
