Engines for Army Vehicles,

Abstract

By taking into account the specific operating conditions of army machines, an attempt has been made in the book to examine some of the features of piston engines' operating process under special conditions, and a separate chapter on irregular conditions is included in it. A considerable amount of attention has been devoted to operating characteristics and the problems of heat transmission and gas-turbine supercharging; the latter is viewed as one of the most effective means of boosting the power of engines.
