Development of Two Models for Improvement of a Combat nformation Center Watch Officer Course: A Proposal for Implementation.

Abstract

In connection with a study to train combat information center watch officers (CICWOs) in monitoring and evaluating, consistently poor student performance has been observed. Another problem in the same training course is the failure to test the student's meeting of course objectives. The report presents a model programmed instruction (PI)--called an operational PI--to help solve the first problem, and a model test to solve the second. Additionally, specific barriers to the implementation of a course design procedure are discussed. (Author)
