Investigation of Heat Transfer at Critical Point during Overflowing of a Plate Located Normally to the Flow by an Axisymmetrical Turbulent Jet,

Abstract

A solution is secured for heat transfer at critical point. A comparison of results of the analytical solution with direct measurements is carried out. A connection between intensification of heat transfer and the degree of turbulence of the jet is demonstrated. Intensification of heat transfer is associated with the arising of a vortical system in the neighborhood of the critical point, the vortex being oriented along the line of the flow. (Author)
