Polynary Telluride Glasses Containing Silver.

Abstract

The addition of a monovalent element, for instance silver, made is possible to introduce substantial amounts of selenium in Si-As-Te glasses from which selenium normally volatilizes. The resulting homogeneous polyphase ir transmitting glasses possess substantially higher softening ranges than any chalcogenide glasses studied to date. (Author)
